Texas Power Bars Warranty Information

Texas Power Bars has been hand-building barbells in Texas with American steel since 1980. We proudly stand behind our craftsmanship while clearly outlining the intended use, care, limitations, and coverage of our products.

Texas Power Bars Limited Warranty

Qualifying Texas Power Bars products purchased directly from us by the original purchaser are backed by an industry-leading lifetime warranty on craftsmanship and freedom from qualifying defects in materials and workmanship.

Qualifying barbells also include a limited lifetime warranty against bending under normal use. Bushings and bearings have separate coverage as outlined below. Different terms, limitations, or exclusions may apply to certain products.

This Limited Warranty applies only to the original purchaser, requires valid proof of purchase, and is not transferable. “Lifetime” refers to the usable life of the qualifying product while it remains owned by the original purchaser.

Warranty coverage varies by product. Not every product sold by Texas Power Bars is eligible for the standard lifetime warranty, bending coverage, product replacement, or the same warranty terms. Product-specific terms displayed on the applicable product page, quote, invoice, order confirmation, or other order documentation take precedence over this general policy.

What Is Considered Normal Use?

“Normal use” means proper lifting by a single user with approved plates, on an appropriate lifting surface, and in accordance with the product’s intended purpose and published specifications.

Normal use does not include, but is not limited to:

  • Dropping or dumping a loaded bar onto rack pins, safety arms, straps, boxes, benches, metal surfaces, or other equipment
  • Concentrated, uncontrolled, abnormal, or angled impact
  • Using a product for a purpose for which it was not designed
  • Improper loading, handling, transportation, or storage
  • Outdoor storage or prolonged exposure to moisture or chemicals
  • Unauthorized disassembly, repair, alteration, or modification
  • Abuse, neglect, accidents, improper care, or failure to perform routine maintenance

Damage resulting from these conditions is considered misuse, improper care, or use outside the product’s intended purpose and is not covered under this Limited Warranty.

Product-Specific Coverage and Exclusions

Specialty, oversized, limited-production, custom, co-branded, closeout, Cosmetic Blemish, resale, partner, and third-party products may carry different, limited, manufacturer-provided, or no warranty coverage.

Product-specific terms disclosed before purchase take precedence over the general warranty terms on this page.

BIG TEX Deadlift Bar: Due to its highly specialized, oversized design, intended strongman use, and extraordinary freight and transportation requirements, the BIG TEX Deadlift Bar is not eligible for standard product replacement under our limited lifetime bending warranty.

Any reported materials or workmanship concern may still be reviewed individually. Any assistance or resolution offered will be determined by Texas Power Bars based on the circumstances, available service options, and applicable product-specific terms.

The purchaser remains responsible for all freight, shipping, packaging, inspection, handling, customs, duties, taxes, brokerage, import, and related costs associated with evaluation, service, or assistance unless Texas Power Bars expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

Geographic Warranty Limitations

Standard warranty product-replacement service is generally limited to products originally delivered within the contiguous forty-eight (48) United States.

Products delivered to Alaska, Hawaii, United States territories, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations may have limited or no eligibility for standard product replacement due to freight costs, product size, carrier availability, customs requirements, import restrictions, and other logistical considerations.

Texas Power Bars may, at its discretion, offer a replacement component, repair guidance, account credit, partial reimbursement, or another reasonable resolution when standard replacement is unavailable or commercially impractical. No particular resolution or exact replacement is guaranteed.

Unless Texas Power Bars expressly agrees otherwise in writing, the purchaser is responsible for all shipping, freight, packaging, handling, inspection, customs, duties, taxes, brokerage, storage, import, export, and related costs associated with warranty evaluation, service, replacement, or assistance.

Product-specific and destination-specific warranty terms displayed on the applicable product page, quote, invoice, order confirmation, or other order documentation take precedence over this general policy.

Bushings and Bearings

Bushings and bearings are working components that naturally wear over time. A qualifying bushing or bearing failure may be covered for up to five (5) years from the original purchase date.

Normal sound, differences in free spin, minor sleeve movement, routine wear, contamination, lack of maintenance, or damage caused by misuse, improper handling, modification, or storage does not necessarily indicate a covered failure.

Coatings, Finishes, Rust and Cosmetic Wear

Cosmetic wear—including coating wear, sleeve marks, rack contact, scratches, finish changes, discoloration, patina, oxidation, surface rust, and normal knurling wear—is not covered under warranty.

Bar finishes such as Cerakote, Black Zinc, Chrome, and Bare Steel are not covered against normal wear, oxidation, discoloration, or appearance changes caused by use, environment, storage, cleaning methods, or lack of maintenance.

Bare Steel does not have a rust- or corrosion-resistant coating. It will naturally develop a patina and may develop surface rust over time, including in areas that are not regularly touched. Regular cleaning and maintenance are required.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

Contact our Texas-based support team at team@texaspowerbars.com and include:

  • Your order number and original purchaser information
  • A clear description of the concern
  • When the concern was first noticed
  • Clear photos of the complete product
  • Close-up photos or video of the affected area
  • Information regarding use, loading, storage, and maintenance
  • Any additional photos, videos, measurements, or documentation requested by our team

Do not return, ship, disassemble, repair, alter, or modify a product unless Texas Power Bars first provides written authorization and instructions.

Submitting a claim, photograph, or video does not automatically establish a defect or guarantee replacement, reimbursement, repair, or any other particular resolution.

Inspection, Shipping and Available Resolutions

The original purchaser is responsible for all shipping, freight, packaging, handling, inspection, customs, duties, taxes, brokerage, storage, import, export, and related fees associated with warranty evaluation or coverage unless Texas Power Bars expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

If a qualifying defect is verified, Texas Power Bars may, at its discretion, repair the affected product or component, provide a replacement component, provide a comparable replacement product, or offer another appropriate resolution.

An exact replacement model, generation, finish, color, knurl, or configuration cannot be guaranteed and remains subject to product, material, and component availability.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Texas Power Bars’ responsibility is limited to the repair or replacement value of the qualifying defective product or component. Texas Power Bars is not responsible for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages.

Nothing in this Limited Warranty is intended to limit any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
