Texas Deadlift Bar

I have multiple Texas Squat, Deadlift, and Power bars. They are an excellent value and perform extremely well. I like the original TPB for athletes that squat under 405 as the wider collars make walkouts easier, especially on 3” rigs. I like the 29 mm for very heavy benchers as it does not flex. Their squat bar is the widest out there (I own four brands of squat bar), which is ideal for wide grip squatters. It (or any squat bar) can be wobbly for smaller framed people. Any of their bars are an excellent choice.

I had the 29 mm Texas Power Bar and decided to purchase the 27 mm Deadlift Bar since I am moving to the USPA where they use the DL bar. The bar is beautiful and the knurling is very aggressive. The bar provides nice flex on the slack pull. This bar is going to lead to DL PRs!!! Next up is going to be the Monster Squat Bar!

Pros: It's a superior quality bar, it's helping me increase my deadlift numbers.

It's an absolutely stunning bar to look at, just looks amazing.

Cons: The black zinc scratches off way too easy. I put a big scratch on mine 2 minutes after taking it out of the tube (clumsy me).

Has a pretty loud rattle.

The knurling is super agressive yet not grippy, it will tear your hands while slipping out of the hands. The starting strength 20kg bar available at texas power bars has a far superior knurling, non agressive but sticks like Velcro.

If the texas deadlift bar had the starting strength knurling, it would be perfect.

My suggestion is get it in bare steel or stainless if available.

I got this one because it was on sale cheaper than the bare steel one.
